I just wanted to say that… If you create content for people in this fandom to enjoy, you’re a fucking rockstar. If you signal boost cool content for your content creators, you are also a rockstar.
If you’re writing your first fic ever and you’re nervous, you are a brave person and I’m proud of you, my dude. We all start somewhere, and every other writer around you has been in your shoes and gets it.
If you are writing your hundredth fic, dude, not only are you fucking awesome, you’re generous as shit, thank you for sharing with us.
If you have a doodle to share, people wanna see it. If you worked on a piece for days or hours, people wanna see it.
Thank you for making cool shit. And even when you make something that isn’t exactly to everyone’s taste, I think I speak for a lot of people when I say we are still glad you are making it. Not all stories are for everyone, but every story is for someone, and you never know how your work can help your fellow fanfolk.
There are people here who are hype as fuck to see your content, and I know the environment around this pairing in particular can be soured by jealous tryhards, but believe me, more want to cheer you on. Take some goddamn pride in the fact you are contributing positivity to a fandom instead of subtracting from it.
May I inquire about your feelings towards the pairing John <3 Rose?
I always considered John as… non really interested in any romantic relationship during the comic. He has his friends and it was enough for him at this time and I think I can relate to that!
But as for any pairing, if they’re happy together, then I think it’s a great pairing?
I don’t ship them but who cares and I still think they make an amazing duo and are still great friends and they care for each other!

Oh, a long time I think!
I also spend 4 years studying illustration and it helped a lot with anatomy! But I keep trying to improve and I’ll always be a better artist in 1 year, even better in 10 years! Can’t wait to be a grandma to see how much I improved during my life!!

Hi Anon! I find inspirations from writing, dancing, photography, music… Lots of things!
It’s really difficult to draw something who’ll look natural only by imagination I think (at least, I’m not capable of it at the moment, but I’ll find time to improve on that point!). My anatomy’s skill aren’t perfect, I can see so many mistakes in my drawings (ha!). I try to hide my weaknesses behind the emotion of the drawing (softness, always softness!).
So this might seem like a random question but.. how do you always have your colors go together so well? It just always seems like you have these beautiful soft color schemes and everything goes together just right. I'm horrible with matching tones together and whatnot and was wondering if you had any tips on.. well, color schemes in general? And maybe how to make them really bring out the emotion you want to evoke :]

I always find it easier to try to find Dirk’s skin color first, because he’s really white skinned and helps set a color base for the ambiance! Here, a quick gif of the process!

But my palettes changes always a lot when I’m painting, let’s just try something together to illustrate my point! Here’s another palette that I like!
First I do flat colors to test things out (especially when I don’t know where I’m going!)
I ended up with an illustration where the character are lighter than the background (So, the opposite of my original illustration)
Here’s the final result!
Feel free to try those palettes to experiment! And modify them if needed!

Your color palette tips were super helpful!! But I was just curious, how do you come up with your color palettes to begin with? Do you just play around with them until you find what you like or do you have another method? (I just really want to be as good as you some day and I'd like all the tips I can get ;^;)
I have a simple trick that can help you with that!

I know art slump and they suck! But they also mean that you are making progress by being able to see your flaws! ( • ̀ω•́ )✧
When I’m in a middle of one I try to experiment with other mediums or drawing more from observation (Let’s check the anatomy’s book to relearn how to draw an arm…) You can also go outside to draw! Like a museum, a parc or a zoo, I love drawings animals, they move all the time so it’s difficult, but it’s a really nice exercice! And if you don’t want to draw anything, it’s okay! It happens too, just… take a break, play some games, read a book (or two), go for a walk, take time for yourself!
And if my art can inspire you to kick the ass to that art block, it means so much and it’s so COOL! Go for it!! ( •̀ᄇ• ́)ﻭ✧
sorry if this is a silly question, but i wanted to commission you for a tiny godtier but i wasnt sure... do ppl send you a pic of themselves or just describe/draw themselves?
It depends, a picture really helps me but if you are not confortable with sharing one there’s no problem and I can work without! (some have drawings of themselves and/or sprites and this is also good reference!) I ask then for a tiny description of your personality or trait (to know if you’re more shy or extrovert, it can help with posture!)
For the classpect, I use generic pictures as reference! (If you want to change the colors of the shoes or other detail, just ask!
